Finding buyers in the NY area.

I am fairly new to the real estate field. I am 21 years old and I've read  books on wholesaling and followed all the steps but still can't seem to find any serious buyers. Ive been using property shark to locate some sellers and have found great deals but don't want to go after them without buyer lined up. I need some advise asap because I'm loosing great opportunity.
