Ways to find off market deals?

I am a new investor in the southern California market and I was just wondering what are some ways to find off-market deals? I know of probate leads, however I feel relying on one source for leads is not very productive or profitable. Any ideas?

@Cody Hahn

Craigslist, driving for dollars, direct mail, SEO, Pay-per-click, wholesalers, networking, to name a few.
