Wholesaling to Real Estate Agent

Hi fellow wholesalers

I'm wondering if you can help with my query.  We currently have a property under contract which we are co-wholesaling with another wholesaler who has brought in a Broker/Realtor.  The Broker's Contract refers to us as the 'seller' and as such requires our signature under 'seller'. I am concerned that as wholesalers, we are NOT the owner of the property and only have the right to assign the contract and not sell the property.

Although we have the contract, can we sign the Broker's Contract as the 'sellers'? If not, could you please clarify why not and if there are legal ramifications for doing so.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Michelle
