Wholesaler/Realtor Relationship

Question for all of my BP Investors. When working with a realtor for properties listed off of the MLS to wholesale, are their commissions paid for by the seller or the end buyer? Also, I work with a realtor who is a good buddy of mine. Would it be best to do a double close on the wholesale deal so that he gets paid his commissions or does it not really matter? We are trying to develop a good partnership that's beneficial to both of us. We find deals both on and off the MLS.
