Finding ARV and Estimating Repairs

I am new to wholesaling and I have some questions. I am trying to figure out how to properly figure out a property ARV, and also how to learn to estimate repair costs. I know that you can get contractors that will give you estimates but I would like to learn how to do it on my own so if anybody knows any links or books that will help educate me that would be greatly appreciated. I have a house that I am working to get under contract but I want to make sure I have all the correct information. The property is in really bad condition, pretty much abandoned so I was wondering how does this affect my estimated repair cost. I do have some other questions concerning this property so if anyone is willing to talk to me more in-depth please don't hesitate to email me. All help would be appreciated.

Thanks
