Absentee Owners

Hello everyone How are you guys?

I've been running into some trouble lately and I'm hoping someone can help. I am fairly new to the real estate business and my partner and I decided to start out with wholesaling and eventually work our way up since we hear this is the easiest form of real estate just to kind of get a hang of it so to speak. I have been looking for deals high and low online (craigslist, zilliow, etc) newspapers, fsbo's even driving for dollars. While Driving for Dollars I have come across tons of vacant properties my problem is locating the owners and their either new mailing address or maybe even a phone number. I've tried online public records, asking a realtor who told me she didn't know if she could give out such information (which is completely understandable). So my question is what are better ways to go about finding this information on absentee owners? Any and all information is appreciated. I love learning new this and would like to learn as much as I can about this business. Thank you for your time to answer or even just reading. Have a Good Day !
