Yes, but it needs to be creative. Try insulting the other ads...

And if your ad is buried under 20 other "I buy houses" ads, you won't get many calls. Most major newspapers rank their ads according to who pays the most, at least in my town they do. Ask how to get your ad on top, and if able to, do it.
