WHOLESALER has a question about FACEBOOK MESSENGER

Hey Team. I have a question and need help please.

I'm a wholesaler and have found a found a gem of a deal on a property in my area. It is a completely gutted vacant mansion in historic Aurora, IL with a ton of history with the house. I want to make an offer and get it under contract asap. I have talked to a neighbor and have found out the owners name and that the owner would sell it in a heartbeat.

I'm going to send out a letter asap to the owners current address, but I would also like to call the owner and speak to him.

Is it "okay/ethical" to reach out via Facebook Messenger to set up a time to him if I can't find his phone number?
