Is this ethical or even legal? Will it go under fraud in the inducement? And doesnt this go against the 'complete tranparancy' rule https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AhXJ2UKUOo 

Has anyone ever lost a deal by telling the seller they're a wholesaler? 

Do people usually represent themselves as the buyer in a wholesale deal?
