Probate Letter Message

Is there any value in sending the executor a general "We Buy Houses" type letter? I haven't tested this approach yet but wondered if anyone has. The idea being to disarm the prospect and differentiate yourself from the others (like me) who have clearly targeted the property. Maybe even send it to the situs (I'm assuming mail will be forwarded to the Ex?)

I've only done a few of these mailings so any feedback would be great.

After a slew of angry calls for 6mo we switched our probate mailer to generic piece that only mentions the word probate among other factors.  It has kept the crying phone calls away, and our deal flow from it has not suffered.
