leaving voicemails

Hello fellow BPers,

I have started calling possible motivated sellers and I keep getting voicemail. Are there any legal ramifications for leaving a voicemail so they can return my call?

the do not call list is for telemarketers trying to sell something, but since I want to buy, am I in the clear? I do not want to get sued

I would stay away from calling people on the do not call list. Other than that, you should be fine to leave VM's. I've found that most people won't call you back so you're better off putting them on a follow up system.
