Trying to Wholesale a property!!

I just got a call from a person facing foreclosure. What step should I take next? I already have a copy of a contract, do I need to call the bank or do the home owner have to call the bank. What steps do I need to take before I get this contract signed by the home owner? Open to any suggestions. As you probably already know I'm new to real estate investing!!
