Foreclosure-credit card judgement

Jessica Collaco
Posted

I am working on wholesaling an off-market deal before it is due to go to auction in two weeks. The judgement of foreclosure is dated 9/25/23. Title found a credit card judgment dated after the foreclosure judgement. I read that for a sheriff sale, the credit card judgement would not be attached to the house since it was dated after the foreclosure judgement. Would that also be the case if a cash buyer were to purchase it before the auction or will they have to pay the credit card judgement?

Thank you
