Is SMS about to die out?

To be clear - cold texting. 

Since Spring of 2022, I've seen SMS only get harder for most folks. With carrier crackdowns and a new election cycle coming up, I wonder how much longer people can continue to do cold texting. 

Take this article from NBC News - in 2022, over 15 BILLION political texts were sent. And I have a feeling that won't slow down going into 2024.
