Agent out reach for acquisitions

Hello BP,

If this is a controversial topic, forgive me, but I have been seeing many wholesalers reaching out to real estate agents  for leads. Has anyone had experience with this sort of acquisition strategy?  I'm very curious as to how this works, both from a wholesale perspective and an agent perspective.

If anyone can enlighten me on the topic, it would be greatly appreciated!
