Harris County (TX) Clerk Site

Hello Houston area Wholesalers and Flippers! I have been familiarizing myself with the Harris County Clerk website to research properties. Does anybody know how I can pull detailed mortgage information off of the site? The standard records on the site only show me the Grantor / Grantee information. I see that each record has an associated file number - so I am assuming that I might need to request the additional file info directly from the Clerk's office. I may be looking in the wrong spot though...Please let me know if you can help - Thanks!

Just remember that county recorder and court clerks are there to archive specific records for the public's benefit, but not charged with providing the info in list formats for marketing purposes. That's how service businesses add value by doing the research and compiling the data and making it available in (hopefully) easy-to-use formats.

I'm not suggesting that you have to use for-profit data providers, but to point out that there is value in the convenience. On this same spirit, I've hired independent researchers to pull just the exact (custom) probate court data that I wanted at various times going back to 1992.
