Bandit sign laws NJ

My partner and I will begin to wholesale properties in Newark NJ and surrounding areas within the next week, but before we begin marketing via bandit signs I would like to ask, where does one go to check the laws and ordinances of a town in reference to the posting of bandit signs? If we are going to do it, we want to do it right to avoid fines and penalties.
