Is Wholesaling legal in New York State?

Hi there, I am looking to start wholesaling in the State of New York, but can't tell if it's illegal or not. Also I did see that marketing a house is illegal without a real estate license in NYS. So would me asking on social media to house flippers or landlords if they are interested in making an investment on a property be considered marketing? This is a rather huge roadblock for me.
