Failure = Success
Last week, I had a call that I was totally unprepared for. I didn’t know the details about a project we’re working on, and it showed.
Lesson learned: Always prepare thoroughly before each call and be ready for unexpected questions.
Failures like this are uncomfortable, but they're how we grow. The only way to improve is through those moments where we fail.
If you aren't failing, you aren't learning.
What are some recent failures of yours?

My pleasure! Its important that we put ourselves in situations that force us to fail. If its easy and been easy for a long time, you haven't challenged yourself.

Great post, Devin! I love how you reframed failure as a stepping stone to success. It reminds me of something I’ve learned on my journey: if you’re not getting uncomfortable, you’re not growing.
One of my recent failures was underestimating the importance of clarity in conversations with potential investors. I realized I was pitching ideas without fully articulating the value I bring to the table. It was a tough moment, but it pushed me to focus on preparation and delivering my message with confidence.
Failing forward is part of the process. Like you said, those uncomfortable moments are where we grow the most. Thanks for sharing your story—what strategies are you using now to prepare for calls like that?

If you're not getting uncomfortable, you're not growing - this is huge!
More preparation on the parcels i'm working on. But also understanding that I will be asked questions that I don't know, and I need understand that it is okay not to know everything in these situations.
