I need to foreclose on a property that I owner financed. Where can I find info?

Hello,

I have a property I sold and carried the note for the buyer using Owner Finance.  They have failed to pay and I need to foreclose on them.  Where can I find information to make sure I am doing everything correctly?  It is in May, TX and I am having trouble finding Real Estate Attorneys that are willing to work in that area.  Is there a website or a book I can follow to make sure I do all the necessary steps to get this accomplished?

@Brown Malo

You cannot do this alone

Happy to send you an attorney reference but here will be their first questions

1. Do you have a signed note

2. Was deed of trust recorded

3. Did you use a licensed servicer?

4. Do you have the pay history?

5. If it’s owner occupied did you send monthly statements (if not you may not be able to collect interest)

6. Can you generate a reinstatement and pay history

7. How far is the borrower behind?
