City Records not matching County Records, any help?

I have a duplex that I purchased back in 2021. I recently had contact with the city and they said it was never permitted and they don't have anything on file that it is a duplex. Cuyahoga county shows that it is a duplex. Any advice on what I do? Anyone had this happen to them?
