Short Term Rentals and an Inactive LLC

I set up an LLC in the fall of 2021 but have not done anything with it to this point beside pay the necessary fees and taxes to keep it "alive." When I first opened the LLC, I was under the wrong impression that if I got the LLC I was protected without having to do anything further. Which I have now learned is not the case. But I still have the LLC even through I have not done anything with it except merely opening it.

In next few months my wife and I are going to start investing in Short term rentals, with a goal to have at least 2 short term rentals by the end of the year. I do not know what to do or where to start with the "unused" LLC. Should I scrape the original LLC and start a brand new to run our future Short term rental earnings through? I'm unsure if the direction to take or where to go for help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
