Lender trying to unlawfully default my loan

Posted

I bought my house a few months ago, and the lender, Loan Care, claims I haven't made any payments, and the original broker, Change Home Mortgage, says I also owe for 2 months, even though they sold my loan the moment they obtained it (they sent me a bill on the 30th of December and saying it's due on the 1st). I've never missed a payment and paid Loan Care when they sent the bill. I talked to them the other day and they said I was current and they see that they received the payment, but I'm still getting mail saying my loan is about to default. I've sent them proof of payment and told them if any action comes of this, I would be getting an attorney. My wife came home yesterday with a letter taped to our door saying we are in default. They gave me until the 4th of February to pay back 2 months, and even if I did, they obviously can't see they're getting it. They call me every day from an automated number and I had to block it.
