Hi All,

Do you have to submit 1099-NEC to the state of Connecticut if you already submitted to the iRS? I do not own a company I am a personal investor but had contractors do some work on the property. - Thank You.

Yes, if you already submitted a 1099-NEC to the IRS for contractors that did work on your rental property, you will also need to submit it to the state of Connecticut. Each state has its own set of rules and requirements for filing 1099 forms, and Connecticut is one of the states that requires 1099-NEC to be filed with the state even if it was already filed with the IRS.
It's worth noting that even though you are a personal investor and not a company, you still have to file 1099-NEC if you paid any contractor more than $600 during the year. And if you're unsure of the process, it's always best to consult with a tax professional to ensure that you're in compliance with all state and federal tax laws.
