Possible MTR in B- neighborhood

Hi everyone! We’re looking at a 3/2 that’s been mostly rehabbed well. We may redo the floor, roof repair, and possibly siding. We will MTR it and is 5-10 min from two major medical centers and downtown.

Our concern is the neighborhood and it’s right next to an interstate/Frontage rd. I didn’t notice the highway noise inside too much and we would put up a privacy fence for enclosed parking and pet area. The neighborhood is a little sad, maybe B-. Mix of 100 yr old well kept and no so well kept houses, but not crime ridden.

Has anyone found these factors to be a deterrent to traveling professionals or even STR when the house is updated and private yard/parking? Thanks!
