MTR owners or landlords, Which is renting more Condo or SFH
Hello everyone! I want to ask your opinion on Mid Term Rental.
For landlords & owners who have SFH & Condo, which one is renting more frequently?
We have an MTR in Orlando FL, it is a condo and in a good location, however HOA fee is getting almost all of the cashflow. It is 2/2 and vacancy is minimal.
We are planning to buy a primary home for lower downpayment and would want to buy an SFH so we could avoid HOA. Of course we plan to buy in a good location, but we are a little nervous that if we buy SFH we have more vacancy or rent less because it will not have the same amenities like a condo has…
Thank you for your insight, we are new to this, started MTR last Sept 2022.

Hi Catherine! I have 9 furnished rentals, and none of them are condos. They all do extremely well. I find that the quality of the unit is paramount to the type of home. Best of luck!
