Thousand Oaks, CA - House hack, Add two ADU's to Property

I have a 3,200 sq foot house in Thousand Oaks, CA - 4 bedroom 2 bath. Our property is built on 2 lots - was the model home site when the neighborhood was built. On it is a 3 car garage with a 260 sq foot shop room as well as another stand alone building with an RV garage stall (2 stories) and single garage stall with a loft room above it. A contractor that looked at the property this summer said the shop was the size needed for a Jr ADU and the other building could be made into a small single family home or a full ADU. Does anyone have experience with ADU's in the area?

I am considering moving out of the house and renting the 3,200 sq foot home and doing the  renovations to both spaces to turn them all into rent producing property.  Would be great to hear any thoughts or experiences from any of you  who have done these.
