House Hacking Potential Commercial Property on Site

Alexandra Marks
Posted

So long story short there is a 3600 sq ft property in a nearby town that is tourist centered. And it’s in downtown!

We are debating a potential house hack because I think it could yield 2-3 airbnbs plus a few small spaces downstairs that could be commercial properties.

My family is nomadic and we also don’t mind being small so taking one space and renting the rest would be gold to be able to put little to no $ down by house hacking on over a half million $$ property.

My starting Q is if it would be possible to have those commercial units and still consider it a house hack with a commercial loan.

I’m a dreaming that we could swing that?! Lol

thanks for any thoughts!
