Investments in Portugal

Hi, I was wondering if there are any investors in the group who have invested in Portugal. I'm considering investing in a long term rental or rental property for digital nomads either in Porto or Lisbon and would like to learn more from someone who is already invested in the market.

I know it was popular when you could use it to buy yourself an EU passport. But I’m pretty sure they cancelled that. You could reach out to Kathy Fettke. Pretty sure her daughter was running a program buying there. Or search the old real wealth network podcasts.

 Thank you! I'll look for her. I'm not interested in their golden visa program though, just from a real estate investment side of things.

I have invested in a few properties meant for long-term renting.
I have also since started a rental property management company that operates in areas we know very well (ascendiadynamics.com)

Porto and Lisbon are very expensive areas at the moment. The good places to start investing at the moment are places within a 10 min drive from main urban centers, and which have different types of residents (not just tourism, not just workers, etc).

would love to hear more about this, visited lisboa this past year and really really enjoyed it and the surrounding areas.  would love to understand what needs to happen to invest there as someone from out of country.
