Hi @Derek H.! I can connect you to my business partner who is an expert in the Porto market. Will send a DM.

Hi Joshua! I have been looking into the RE market in Portugal for over a year now. Porto is by far my favorite city in Portugal, but I'm also open to investments in Lisbon or Braga if the right opportunity shows up. I'm primarily looking for a property for digital nomads or even a long term rental. In Braga it will most likely be for students. Would love to connect with your business partner if possible. I'm not interested in the golden visa program.

Quote from @Chris Barrett:

I have a call with CAFIMO tomorrow, and while I'm not planning on doing a refinance based project right now, I'll ask about this and see what the broker has to say now. :)

Chris I would like to have your take on working with CAFIMO. I'm currently starting to work with them, but would love to hear from other investors.

Quote from @Bill B.:

I know it was popular when you could use it to buy yourself an EU passport. But I’m pretty sure they cancelled that. You could reach out to Kathy Fettke. Pretty sure her daughter was running a program buying there. Or search the old real wealth network podcasts.

Thank you! I'll look for her. I'm not interested in their golden visa program though, just from a real estate investment side of things.

Dear all,

I would like to create a Single Member LLC to hold a long term rental property in Texas (I am living is Texas). Texas has no requirement for an operating agreement, but I would like to have one as I hear the general consensus is that (if done right) will help with liability protection.

My long term rental will then be owned by this Single Member LLC. I would like to do the state filing myself, because its easy and cheap. So I wonder if there is a "canned" operating agreement that I could use for this type of purpose. A CPA or Attorney have operating agreements available as well, typically for 500$ to 1200$. Of course your/my mileage may vary - but this seems such a standard thing to do, I can not imagine it's worth thousand dollars of contract rocket science.

Are there others that use Single Member LLCs for their Long term holds? How did you make an Operating Agreement or did you decide to call on an attorney?

thank you so much,

Matt

I can assist

I can offer a single member operating agreement template, you’ll be able to fill and change to your specifications

I have this arrangement with most transaction agreements

Do you mind sharing it with me please?

Hi, I was wondering if there are any investors in the group who have invested in Portugal. I'm considering investing in a long term rental or rental property for digital nomads either in Porto or Lisbon and would like to learn more from someone who is already invested in the market.
