Tampa Bay has welcomed nearly 400,000 new residents

Since 2014, Tampa Bay has welcomed nearly 400,000 new residents, making it a prime destination for migration. The region's population, currently around 3.2 million, is projected to grow significantly by 2030. Factors driving this growth include economic opportunities, a high quality of life, affordable living, and reputable educational institutions. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated these trends, as remote work allowed more people to move to areas offering better lifestyles. Tampa's rising popularity and robust job market make it a thriving hub for new residents.

20 years investing in Tampa. If you have experience in this area, let me know your thoughts on Tampa in the long term.

One good hurricane can turn that around. If a city grows quickly because of a new industry, that growth is likely to stick for a while. When a city grows just because people are escaping something else, then that growth can just as quickly shrink.

I would be very careful about following migration trends without a strong, underlying justification.
