Microsoft to build $1Billion data center outside Milwaukee

We had a lot of land and property speculation going on when Foxconn revealed their big plans for a plant that would create 11,000 jobs - and a lot of investors went for it and lost when the plans started to dwindle. Now we have Microsoft, they have bought 315 acres from Foxconn, the village has already approved plans and they are excited. I remain a bit skeptical until I see it happen. A data center will probably only create a couple hundred jobs once construction is complete, but there will probably be other businesses benefitting from the economic impulse. Not that we need more jobs, Wisconsin has already a very low unemployment rate, well below national average. What we do need is more new construction housing...
