Crash and burn or Crash and turn?

For Realtors that made it through the last housing Crash (not saying that's going to happen again) what are things you did to make it through till things started moving better again? I know if you make it through the hard times on the other end it will help you. Did you have to Pivot a bit into other things to sustain? 

We are still doing good right now, just preparing and looking for ideas if something does happen.
