According to the Texas Water Development Board projections Austin MSA is on track to be larger than San Antonio. The Texas Water Development Board is Texas' leading water planning agency. Their prediction is that Austin MSA will keep growing at a very fast pace. Given that San Antonio MSA is currently the 7th largest MSA in the USA that is a pretty significant prediction.
