TWC just released the latest stats which is for July. The unemployment is the same as it was last month at 3.1% which is still number one for Texas. From last month to this month the cumulative labor force expanded by roughly 3k from 1,355,800 to 1,358,600. Year over year the employment growth is significant expanding from 1,314,900 while at the same time the unemployment numbers dropped from 4.1 to 3.1. As I keep on saying: Austin metro is a job creating machine. Wages are increasing too which is a great sign for landlords as the metro wide rental vacancy remains low.  City of Austin just voted in a so called living wage of 20$ per hour set as a minimum. https://www.kxan.com/news/loca... as an example.
