Corporate Housing trends

Hello BP friends,

I run a corporate housing operation in the midwest and was interested to see what other professionals are seeing in terms of market trends in their areas.

I initially got into this business assisting Travel Nurses on short term contracts in my city, and was able to have stable cash flow for almost 2 years.

After some dedicated market research into that particular niche, I’m seeing a slow down in Government funding for hospitals following the Covid-19 pandemic. Are you all seeing similar Indicators in your area? And if so, what are some ways you are stretching your model to attract a wider group of traveling professionals? Interested to hear your thoughts!

Hey @Michael Emery

Relocation specialists are huge nowadays and are always looking for housing for people. Hospitals always need to house patients. And, blue/white collar workers will always need a place to stay when traveling for business.

To be honest, I don't see any slow down at all in the overall industry, but possibly a slow down in that specific sector. The real question is - how are you marketing to anyone that needs housing right now? Why only work with one sector when you can work with them all?

Hope this helps and don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything else!

All the best,

Josh Messinger
