My review of Blip Leads

Great day BP fam,
Writing to inform you guys of my experience with a company I found here on BP. I hired the company, Blip Leads, to perform some cold calling for me. If any other members here have had a pleasant experience with this organization, please share. When ‘courting’ this company, my calls were answered promptly, emails were responded to in a timely manner, and I got an overall good vibe from the owner that I had been dealing with. I felt as though they were confident in their service as he even gave me the contact information to one of his competitors. After calling the competitor I made a decision to go with Blip Leads. Another thing that made me choose the company was their vote to post ratio here on BP. I think a good number of votes to posts indicates someone that takes their time when responding and offers sound advice to the community. I thought this would translate into one's business practices.
I asked for a contract or scope of work, but the company did not provide one as part of their service. I was told that I would get daily and weekly reports detailing the campaign as well as access to recorded conversations of all calls made. They said that they would aim for at least 7 touches before disregarding a prospect. I hired this company on August 1, and as of today I am totally dissatisfied with the service provided. I understood that skip tracing all of the leads, approximately 800, would take about a week so the actual calling started about August 10. To date I have only two recorded messages in the ‘back office’ along with the spreadsheet of the skip traced leads. My issues with the company:
1. I’m assuming they have a new guy making the calls on my project. I assume this because his phone etiquette is not that great. I gathered this from the two recorded messages I listened to. He says umm a lot and was cutting the prospect off way too much. I have done cold calling and conversed with sellers that have responded to my direct mail campaigns. Cutting the prospect off is a big no no in my opinion. The marketer can let the prospect talk while still controlling the conversation. But I was willing to give the guy a shot. Everyone was new at some point in history.
2. My phone calls are not being returned at all. I call both owners, leave messages, and I call the guy that is supposed to be in charge of my campaign. Finally I get a call back from the newbie. He says “well owner 1 said to call you with an update”. Me: “So what’s the update” Him: “I guess this and I guess that” What do you mean you guess? Where’s the definitive? Him: “well let me talk with owners and I’ll call you tomorrow” Furthermore, why did the owner have to tell you to call me back. I left you a message too.
3. Communication is poor. In addition to #2, ‘the guy’ told me I haven’t heard from him in a couple days because they were integrating a new system that would allow for faster calling. Understandable, but where is the communication. Why did the client have to call you after not hearing from you all for a few days to get this information???
4. Communication: Emailed one owner. He said he would return my call after he returned from vacation. He was supposed to return last Friday, August 18. I still haven’t heard from him.
5. Spoke to the ‘guy’ today (after calling all three folks and leaving messages) and he’s telling me they have called the entire list and now they need more leads. I’m not buying it at all. Overall just frustrated with the lack of communication and lack of updates regarding my account. Still haven’t heard from owners after leaving messages today.
6. I take full responsibility for not demanding a scope of work that would have detailed the terms of our agreement, and what I should expect as part of their service.
