@Simon McBride Durham is a solid market for buy and holds. However, as mentioned above, the secret is out. There is limited inventory and off-market listings are hard to find. I have noticed that some listings that are hitting the MLS were attempts at rehabs that are being abandoned. If your friend here has a solid contractor, you may find some diamonds in the rough that need significant work.
