To turnkey or not to turnkey?

I've been seriously considering out of state turnkey.  Not that Michigan doesn't have solid buy & hold areas but I can't say I've seen a lot about established/ reputtable MI turnkeys. Again not that they don't exist. I'm not too hung up on the "have to be able to drive to your properties" saying personally.  What recommendations do you folks have for next steps and/ or turnkey companies that you have personally invested in?   I do have some calls set up on out of state turnkey companies so I will learn more in the coming weeks.  Looking to keep working & use that income to build up a bank roll for multiple properties.  The numbers seem to work from my initial analysis to build up a nice portfolio over the years with a nice buffer for vacancies & repairs.  I have read some turnkey posts already but looking for some fresh comments from actual investors and/ or companies.

Much appreciated.

Thanks!

Tim
