Job opportunity in Denver

Hello All and thanks in advance for any insight and advice!

I have a job opportunity in Denver as a Commercial Real Estate Investment Agent with Marcus & Millichap. The position is a 1099, unpaid, no benefits, etc. for 6-18 months before building a book of business. I currently have a good cube job but not an industry or position I love. This seems like a great opportunity to learn more and advance my career in RE but it comes with HUGE risks. Supporting myself would be difficult for 6-18 months would be tough be there could be light at the end.

Please provide any insight you can about the company, position, etc. I would really appreciate everyone's help!!

Thanks again,
Mitch

Mitch Anderson as Matt M. Stated, you'll be cold calling without a doubt. You need to evaluate your finances and figure out if you can live 18 months without pay. If you can't go that long, how much do you need to survive.. Is it $1000 a month or $5000? Big difference obviously. If you can live cheap, you can do odd jobs to make end meet on the side while building the business. Sales is one of the hardest jobs because you have to take the risk of no pay. But as they say, with risk - comes reward.
