Warning for BLH Property Management in the Acadia area of Maine

This is a warning for anyone loooking to rent a house in this region. We rented a property in April of 2008 and still have not had our deposit returned. We loved the house and the area and had no problems that would cause the agent to hold the deposit. The broker for the property, Brian Harp, BLH Property Management, has repeated ignored requests to return our $500 deposit and made numerous excuses for not sending it (been travelling, can't find papers, .....). We also found that he has done this to other renters in Maine. We are in the process of filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, sites like this and any other state or local agency that protects consumers from people like this. :pissed:
