Broker Evaluation Need Help

Hi All,

I have been in real estate for a few years now. When I started my real estate career I went to work for a broker who my parents used as their realtor prior to me becoming licensed. Let me also mention I live in a small town where most brokerages are not chain related. The only brokerage in our county that is a chain type brokerage probably remax.

Anyway, I have been with them since the start, and I love my broker. However, he is only the supervising broker, and not the principle broker and It appears the principle broker is the one who makes most decisions. Our office does not have any support staff for us really (Main office does, but our office does not), we don't have a ton of lead generation, I am not sure how the commission schedule fairs to other offices as this is really the only office I have worked for.

Things I do not have to pay for our E/O Insurance, and office space. Pretty much everything else is my responsibly. I also often have to ensure my commission checks are accurate. There was also a large discrepancy in wether or not my commission tier was based on Net VS Gross. When I started I was told it was gross, but after getting into it I was told it was net. I also feel like my split is based on the amenities of the main office, and not of mine.

I guess my question is, do you all think this is common among offices, or is it time to start moving on?
