Senior Living Fund Follow-up[
Hello, I'm just following up on my last post since a couple of folks have asked for an update. The SLF Income Fund I (Bond) has been paying all interest on my multiple investments and has done so on time for each investment that I own. I feel that this is the best possible alternative for me to the stock market and I'm very satisfied to date with this investment. Unfortunately, I can not say the same for two of the other funds that I own (SLF I and II). I purchased both of these funds back in 2015 and they were delayed by COVID, which is understandable, but I was told on numerous occasions that they would both close in 2021 early 2022 at the latest. The current information is now that they might close in 2022, but it is more probable that it will be 2023 and that they may not provide the original rate of return. So at this point, the rate of return may well be less and the time horizon increased by approximately 2 years meaning that my average rate of return has gone down significantly. I'm very confident that my invested capital will all be returned and that I will receive some level of gain, but I'm sure at this point that it will not be anything near what was advertised. It appears that SLF V is far less affected at this point by COVID and is on track to provide the type of return that was advertised and within the six year maximum time horizon. Hopefully that will be the case.
All in all I'm still very happy with SLF and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solid alternative investment. I cannot say enough for the team of folks that I correspond with at SLF, they go out of their way to be helpful and are always as pleasure to talk to. I strongly believe that the SLF concept is working, that they offer solid investments (that unfortunately in some cases were affected by COVID) and that they have a great team.
