Vacancy and Demand Metrics/Indicators

Bruce Yi
Posted

Hello BP, Is there a metric, tool or indicator I can use to determine vacancy rates in a specific area before buying a rental property? What tips do you have to determine if a property will reasonable rent quickly in a given area at market rents?

Thanks

Hi @Bruce Yi

I can potentially help you with this.

Easiest way is to look at the MLS and see how long it took for a property to rent around the property you are interest in and what the rent rates are.

Regarding a metric or tool I'm not sure where to point you there.
