Tenant doesn't have access to electrical panel
My wife and I are about to close on our first home. The house was built in the 1800s and although it is zoned as a multifamily, it has never been used as a multifamily before us. The two units are currently accessible to each other by doors. We planned to close off the doors but realized if we do this, the other tenant will not have access to the basement where the electrical panels are. I work from home and would be there if anything were to happen but I was curious if anyone else has dealt with this? Should we consider moving the panel into their unit or are there any other options? Thank you in advance!
