Should I buy a home in early phase of a master plan community?

Hello all!
My wife and I are looking to buy our first home in the DFW metroplex. This will be our primary residence but our plan is to move out in a couple of years and convert it into a rental. We're currently looking at a SFH in a master plan community (MPC) in Crowley, TX and I'm hoping to get some thoughts on if it may be a good idea. We'll be getting in an phase 1 of the buildout and the developers of the community have a proven track record having designed another community but on a larger scale elsewhere in the metroplex. Crowley also looks to be growing and coming into it's own as well the past couple years, though not at the same level of some other popular suburbs in the metroplex. Is it a good idea to buy in a MPC in the beginning stages, and any thoughts on Crowley as a rental market?
