Don’t know where to start to buy first home.

My wife and I want to buy our first home but don’t know where to start.
Her credit is around 710, mine is around 640.

Our income at the end of the year combined is around 88,000.
I’ve had my current job for 2 years. She’s had hers for 5 years.
I want to quit my current job and go to another that pays me about $3 more an hour.
Is it wise to go to a higher paying job and try to get a loan? And if so, which type of loans are there?

Thank you to whoever replies.

Hey Danny, I would speak with a lender and talk through the specifics of what you can qualify for right now. If your job change can happen right now, I would switch so long as you receive another W2 from this new job.
