First home purchase has been a nightmare

I purchased first home/2 family last october with holdover tenants already in property.

they dont pay rent and its been almoste a year in 2 months and im still trying to get out second floor tenant so me and my family can move in. The court process is actually at us waiting for lockout date from courts so says the lawyer.

i understand the courts was backed up due to covid but is it this backed up or should the blame be on my lawyer for working on his own pace.

minde you i been paying mortgage, and rent where i stay out of pocket without making any money from my property for 10 months sofar.

is it my lawyers fault or am i overthinking?
