Why is it so difficult to get a contractor for repair costs!

So, guys! I got my inspection report and trying to get a contractor is extremely difficult to get in this market. So, I decided to google and hit some sites online that might give me estimates of everything on the inspection list and its costs to repair, but, something is not not right. I really feel like my numbers are off. I've put all items on a google spread sheet and my estimations , any recommendations on what to do next? Should I physically go to a contractor , bring them my spread sheet, instead of just waiting for a call or email? OR ,Youtube it and do the majority of the work myself minus the required certified technician repairs? I am in a stand still.

I would definitely go to several contractors. Have them double check your numbers. You can also do the work yourself especially if you have the time. As this would be a great way cut cost and learn the cost for your next property. Hope this helps.
