Canadians, how are you utilizing this site and it's services?
Being that BP is based on US laws, rules and regulations, how are you as Canadians, utilizing the information and services from BP to help you in the Canadian market?

You need to overlook the rules, regulations and half of the strategies. Most of the formulas can relate in Canada and that's what you should concentrate on if your a newbie. Understand the basic math to reach profitability whether its a flip, cash flow etc.. How to evaluate the value of different asset classes.
Also use keywords like Toronto, Ontario, Canada, BC etc.. and look for threads on those keywords
Thanks for the tips! I'm finding that, like you say, many of the rules, laws, strategies, etc. need to be tweaked, modified or disregarded up here.
Working on getting a good understanding of the maths involved.
Have you found any particular strategies that work well, if not better in Canada?
Our focus right now is on house hacking a multifamily property in Saskatchewan to get started.
Believe it or not there is no strategy that works better in Canada. All of the strategies are more profitable in the US in terms of ROI. One the thing that Canada has is Interac Debit Email Transfer. US has variations but not instant and easy like in Canada. Getting paid rent this way is a thing of beauty. Also getting loans from A Lenders (CIBC, RBC, TD etc) there are no lending fees besides a $400 appraisal.
